This is mainly a walking area along the Snohomish River, with a mixture of paved paths and gravel. There is a gravel parking lot open daylight hours. Excellent place to walk dogs. There is interesting wildlife such as beaver, otters, seals, eagles, cormorants, red wing blackbirds, bullfrogs etc.

Another access point to this area is the over the railroad walk bridge from downtown Lowell. There are a few homeless people at the fringes, especially in summer as the ground dries, but if you stick to the main paths its unlikely you will see them.

This area was historically an industrial area with mills and factories. Little of that is left- a few foundations, pilings. The City of Everett has began a large project to the north and west which has been ongoing for many years. A very large tire fire smouldered nearby for over a decade.
