This is the palace where Rani (Queen) use to stay during summer. Some records show that this may be military's quarters. Evidence for this is the presence of three watch towers surrounding it. However, this is a beautiful structure, built with brick and mortar, unlike many of the buildings in Vijayanagar City (Hampi). It is surprising to know that this structure remained undamaged during the ruinous pillage of Vijayanagar that followed the defeat of Rama Rayalu in Battle of Thallikota in 1565.
