Former St. Bridget's Church which was founded in 1869 when a small church was built a block away at Mercer Street east of Brunswick Street. As it grew, the current church was built and completed by 1887 to a design by Patrick C. Keeley, an Italian Gothic, red brick and Ohio stone structure. The new rectory, also finished in the same year, was a three story brick townhouse design. The parochial school was founded by 1890 and the adjacent four story brick building was then completed. In 1892 the Catholic Lyceum was completed across the street as a social and recreation center. Finally in the 1920's the convent building was built.
