Gomso Solar Salt Farm - Sea water is evaporated for 25 days in evaporating ponds before being moved to the crystallizing ponds. Salt crystals start forming from the concentrated sea water in the crystallizing ponds. After collecting the crystals from the ponds the salt is dried in sheds for 6 months before sale.

Salt that comes from the Gomso area has 10 times more minerals than solar salt from other regions. Gomso Solar Salt has Sodium Chloride, Calcium, Potassium and Magnesium, causing it to be favored by cooks for its' sweet flavor.
