A pair of 3-story Greek-revival residential building completed together in the 1840s, after a fire destroyed the previous structures. They are clad in red brick above rusticated brownstone basements, both three bays wide. No. 17 has full-length parlor floor windows, while those on No. 15 are shorter. The two houses are crowned by a unified white metal dentiled cornice. The stoops and basement areaways have wrought-iron railings. Matthew Broderick and Sarah Jessica Parker lived at No. 17 from 1990 until 2002.
