Built at the same time as Highway 130 (functionally replacing a short-lived Diamond Shamrock travel center, which was just west of the current site), this travel center was originally named Mustang Travel Center and had Exxon gas. A recent change in ownership has brought this under the Pilot Flying J truck stop chain, though the McDonald's that was here was carried over without much of an issue.
