Within this outlined area was filmed "The Bruce" a feature film starring Oliver Reed and Brian Blessed. Shot at various locations around Scotland and York, the scenes of Bruce's victory at Bannockburn were filmed here in Peebles on the banks of the Tweed. I myself was an extra in this movie and appear, twice marching and again dead on the battlefield.
