Megget Reservoir in the Scottish Borders is Scotland's highest embankment dam that holds water for Lothian. Tunnels, aqueducts and pipelines convey the water to the Lothian area; from the Tweedsmuir Hills into the Manor Valley, through the Meldon Hills and into Gladhouse Reservoir and Glencorse Reservoir. Megget is located about two miles to the west of St Mary's Loch in the Ettrick Forest.
