function hall, listed building / architectural heritage

This Gothic mansion was built in the second half of the 15th century by Jan III de Baenst (1483), a local politician and chamberlain of the Duke of Burgundy. Marcus Laurin, a renowned humanist and lord of Watervliet, lived in this building in the 16th century and acquired an art collection, a coin collection and a library with his family fortune. An interactive exhibition will inform you on the building.
