Built 1912 as a combination of summer resort and TB sanatorium. The property quickly ran into financial trouble, and it went through a series of uses until 1926, when it opened as a resort. Birch Lodge remained open until 2006, and re-opened once more in 2010. It remains a well-preserved example of early 20th-century resort architecture. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1996.
