New International Passenger Terminal

CIAL has decided to construct a New International passenger Terminal to meet the increasing passenger traffic. Based on the traffic forecast study the new terminal is planned for a peak hour handling capacity of 4000 pax and to meet the projected traffic growth till year 2025. The Terminal is expected to cost around Rs 450 Crores.

The salient features of new Terminal are:

Elevation to feature Kerala Temple architecture.
Two level terminal – Arrival in ground level & Departure in first level.
Finger pier concept to handle 13/15 aircraft through aerobridges during peak operations.
Total of 15 lakh sqft built up area.
Elevated road approach to Departure level.
