390 6th Avenue (New York City, New York)

USA / New Jersey / Hoboken / New York City, New York / Sixth Avenue (Avenue of the Americas), 390

4-story mercantile building completed in 1957 for the West Side Savings Bank. With large glass areas at each floor, it has a modernistic design with light-colored horizontals contrasted against a dark, vertical tower at the south end. This tower displayed the name of the bank, and on each face a combination time-temperature reading device. A 2-story addition was built on the south side in the 1970s.

The building is now occupied by a Staples, with the ground floor occupied by Grab & Go convenience store, a small Bank of America branch, and a pizzeria.
