This plant manufactures phosphors, (inorganic powders which fluoresce under U.V. light) and getters, (structures which contain reactive elements like barium, zirconium or phosphorus which are used in thermionic valves/electron tubes and H.I.D. lamps to maintain a hard vacuum or other inert atmosphere inside the bulb over many thousands of hours of operation at elevated temperatures).
Other proprietary chemical preparations, such as capping cements and badgeing inks are also made here.
