Hailey Park occupies a central position in the River Taff valley. The well used Taff Trail passes through the park, which is a 55-mile route for walkers and cyclists from Brecon to Cardiff—it adds to the already excellent recreational facilities on offer.
Mature trees run along the edge of the River Taff and compliment more recent planting to this a very attractive area. The proximity to the River Taff ensures that the park is rich in wildlife. As a Friends group we’re proud of all the work we’ve achieved in improving biodiversity and thank all the other groups who have helped us along the way.
It is very popular with locals and offers some lovely views up the valley.
The park contains a large area of sports pitches (e.g. rugby, football, touch rugby, baseball). Hailey Park is home to Llandaff North Rugby Club with pitches on the park for matches and training while their clubhouse is in nearby Radyr Road. Other facilities include tennis courts and playgrounds, and in the near future we will have new playground equipment.
Hailey Park also has the longest legal graffiti wall in Wales.
