Regency suburban development by John Nash as part of the adjacent Regents Park. Park Village West was constructed between 1823 and 1834. The buildings form an harmonious streetscape and are an example of picturesque landscape design. Most of the houses are classical but a few are in the Gothic style. A couple are reproductions created after the originals were destroyed by aerial bombing during the war. This early example of a Garden Suburb looked across the Regents Canal to Park Village East forming a larger romantic landscape.
