A Royal Park planned by John Nash who played an important part in planning London during the 18th Century. Its name comes from Prince George who was officially the Prince Regent. Many villas for his friends were built but many of these do not survive.
Regent's Park is still a major open space in London, and is the location of the London Zoo in the northeast corner. There are many gardens, nature areas, lakes and other attractions. It is located mostly in the London Borough of Camden.
This is the park where Pongo from the movie 101 Dalmatians uses the Famous Twilight Bark to warn the London Dogs that his puppies have been stolen by thieves.
