This is a ground that is pass by to Chipre Bulding. It is the only available ground by corporation in Belgaum where many young children and youths come to play cricket, fly Kites and also many events are organised. Parayan and ayyapa pooja are the main event that occurs here.
Day night cricket matches are very common here. The main thing to note here is that many noted politions and swamyji's have given lectures here.
This place was a small pond when British were ruling India and later Britishers closed the Ponds and made it as a Ground.

  • बेळगावच्या राज्य परिवहन मंडळाच्या स्थानकावर "बेळगावी" असेच नाव कोरण्यात आले आहे. एवढेच नाही, तर महाराष्ट्राच्या मुख्यमंत्र्यांना कर्नाटकचे माजी मुख्यमंत्री बी. एस. येडुयुराप्पा यांनी ४ एप्रिल २००८ रोजी लिहिलेल्या पत्रातही असाच उल्लेख आहे. या सर्व प्रकारामुळे कर्नाटक सरकार बेळगावमधून मराठीचे अस्तित्व नावापासून पुसण्याचा प्रयत्न करत असल्याचे स्पष्ट होते आहे.
