Designed by Emre Arolat Architects. Construction started in May 2011 and opened to the public in early 2014.

Built seven meters beneath the ground, it is the world's first underground mosque. Won the Best Religious Building award at the 2013 World Architecture Festival.

The architect was inspired by the Cave of Hira, where Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) received his first revelation. The mosque's 1,200 square meters can accommodate 650 worshipers.
