The beach house at 3950 ( goo.gl/maps/LRMYs ) is owned by a trust controlled by Silicon Valley pioneer Bruce J. Bergman (Brocade Communications and many other tech companies) and Janet Bergman of Palm Desert, California. This unassuming house is the second one north of the house with the Dolphin fountains. The extra wide seawall at 3950 usually has a pair of chaises on it. Its owner at one point owned three properties towards the end of Gordon Drive: 4375 and 4395 Gordon Drive. For those three parcels Bergman paid the record price of $30m back in 2001 ( www.naplesre.com/napleslux.html ). Bergman re-sold those same 3 vacant properties in 2007 to two different buyers for a total of $26m. But there is more: the former owner of the estate at 3100 Gordon Drive ( goo.gl/maps/i84nq ), Gardner Larned, once owned those same 3 properties for which he paid a total of $7.2m just 5 years earlier subsequently selling them to Bergman in 2001.
