  • Navi Mumbai is a planned city that is coming up quite well. It now needs to be fitted with a soul. Lots of trees need to be planted along roads and open spaces. Slums should not be allowed to even start here. CIDCO has done well to construct LIG houses and should put in more of those to ensure there are no slums in Navi Mumbai. CIDCO should also set aside land for constructing community centers. They have done so in Vashi, but need to do this in other nodes as well; as a large number of pensioners seek homes in Navi Mumbai.
