Six Mushroom Water towers of about 33 water towers -in total- built all over Kuwait, the design of the towers won in the first award cycle "Aga Khan Award for Architecture" for years 1978-1988. The design was done by the Swedish architect Sune Lindström and the towers were based on his original tower for Örebro (Svampen).
