One of the most interesting historical places of Murshidabad. The name of the district is given after the name of Nawab Murshidkuli Khan.

This place was previously recognised as a Hindu mandir before the arrival of Alikului Khan and the Moghuls in Bengal. Now-a-days, the mosque is open for visiting only with a Temple of God "Shiva" just beside it, keeping the evidence.
