Situated in the water-shade of Bara Shigri Glacier and East Tosh Glacier, this is a rocky pass with steep slopes on both sides. A team from Kolkata, consisting Riddha Pratim Datta, Dipak Mukherjee, Mrinal Kanti Ghosh, Sourav Ganguly and Thendup Sherpa crossed this pass from Bara Shigri Glacier and descended into East Tosh glacier in July 2013. This was a first documented crossing of this high pass and there is no physical or visible evidence of anyone attempting this pass before. Riddha proposed a name for this pass as Toshigri Col, and he hopes this hidden pass will attract many keen enthusiasts in the future.
