block of flats, 1923_construction
Built between 1922 and 1923 by Abraham Davis, Clive Court first had residents move in in late 1923 and was fully occupied by 1924. It consists of a series of one, two and three bedroom apartments and is a pleasant mansion block. Originally Clive Court comprised of not only self-contained flats but also a restaurant for the use of the residents. The whole of the 7th floor contained a large dining hall and kitchen together with a lounge, ‘crush hall’ and cloakrooms. This area was eventually replaced by additional flats.
