The former home of renowned novelist William Makepeace Thackeray (1811-1863). The property, a Grade II listed freehold building.
W M Thackeray lived here 1846-1854. It was during his time at 16 Young Street that he wrote and published his most famous work, Vanity Fair, the panoramic portrait of English society that is considered a classic of English literature.
