monument, sculpture, interesting place
In 2005 Moscow processed cheese factory "Carat" unveiled a sculpture dedicated to process cheese "Druzhba". "Druzhba" (Friendship) is a widely known brand of process cheese in ex-USSR.
The idea of the monument comes from Aesop fable "The Crow and the Fox" interpreted by Russian poet Ivan Krylov. These two bronze characters hug each other and hold bronze 200 kg (460 lbs.) cheese in their hands.
Sculpture cost $500k.
