Edwards Air Force Base - North Base. This area was originally used to flight test new projects that were intended to be kept from public view. The P-59 Airacomet, America's first jet fighter was tested here. Later the Lockheed U-2 operated from North Base. Currently the base is unused except for storage.

I believe part of this area currently functions as a JANET terminal for specialists from 412th TW to head out to Groom Lake or TTR.
