  • The spot where RAAF Mirage IIIO Fighter crashed in 1976. Plt Off Mel Hurman ejected safely.
  • I saw this Mirage (A3-67) crashed onto the cemetary with thick black smoke rising from the crash site after that. Did not manage to see the pilot ejected because of the smoke though. A magpie insignia (75 sqn) was on the Mirage tail just beside the roadside. A Iroquois chopper landed shortly after that. What a memory !!
