The Cebu Pilot House was a Post-war structure constructed on 1947 and was inaugurated on October 23 1947 for the purpose of complying to the mandatory Maritime laws for progressive areas like Cebu City which became one the largest center for trade and commerce in the Philippines.

The pilot house Serves as the Harbor Pilots quarters whose task is to guide ships through dangerous or congested waters, such as harbors , they are expert ship handlers who possess detailed knowledge of local waterways like in the Cebu port.
