An extensively modified example of a "C" model variant of the F-4 Phantom II, S/N 63-7408 saw extensive use in testing programs being carried out at the Air Force Flight Test Center before being retired from duty and placed on public display. Though a test platform for its entire service career, 63-7408 wears the tri-color Southeast Asia camouflage paint scheme of Vietnam War-era F-4 Phantoms as a memorial to USAF and Tyndall-based F-4 crews lost in combat.
