This building was originally built as Hendricks Public School. Starting in 1991, Hendricks Public School and Ivanhoe Public School began an agreement where kindergarten through sixth grade would attend the renamed Lincoln HI Elementary School in Hendricks, while 7th through 12th grade would attend the renamed Lincoln HI High School in Ivanhoe. This agreement was dissolved in 2011, and Hendricks Public School reformed their own K-12 school, while Ivanhoe scaled down to Lincoln Elementary School with kindergarten through sixth grade.
