1st National Air Control Centre (ACC) – Recognized Picture Production Centre (RPC) – Sensor Fusion Post (SFP) [NARCS]

Squadrons: Squadron of Air Defense Further Training (SADFT)
Subordinance: As far as its national entity is concerned, it is subordinated at Hellenic Tactical Air Force Command ( HTAFC). In terms of its NATO role, it operates under the CAOC of the region.

Mission:
The 1st NARCS’s mission is the successful performance of energetic Air Defense operations within the region NARCS is responsible for, in order to cancel or reduce the efficiency of aerial hostile actions in a national and allied level. Within the scope of this mission, the accomplishment of individual goals demands the maintenance of high level efficiency and readiness, along with appropriate staff organization – training and maintenance of NARCS’s means and systems.

History:
In May 2013, within the scope of the HAF Aeronautical Control System’s new structure’s implementation, the 1st NARCS – NATOic ARS equal to a squadron was activated. In June 2016, the 1st NARCS took the reins of the operational functions of the 1st Area Control Center (ACC) in a national and NATOic level using the MASE (Multi Aegis Site Emulator) – CSI (CRC / System Interface) system. Within the scope of national – NATOic planning implementation the ACCS (Air Command and Control System) was embodied constituted by the following entities:
- ACC – Air Command and Control Centre
- RPC – RAP (Recognized Air Picture) Production Centre
- SFP – Sensor Fusion Post
