Castle Hotel Römischer Kaiser (Vienna/Austria) (Vienna)

Austria / Wien / Vienna / Annagasse, 16
hotel, listed building / architectural heritage

During the regency of Emperor Leopold I and the upturn of the Baroque period in 1684, the 4-star castle hotel Römischer Kaiser was built by the former imperial chamberlain Johann Huemer in Vienna.

Only a few steps from the elegant shopping street, the Kärntner Strasse and within walking distance of the State Opera House and St. Stephen's Cathedral, the fine old hotel in the small Palais, is now considered one of the most beautiful old town buildings in center Vienna.
Because of the baroque furniture, the red silk wallpaper, the crystal chandeliers and the typical Viennese Cafe Salon, the nostalgic and historic charm of the hotel have been obtained and you have the intimacy of a baroque cityhotel on the one side and the most modern hotel- and business comfort at the other.
