One of the best Chemistry depts in India. Very renouned teaching faculty thru' out. Prof Joshi, Arnikar, Narasimhan, Joshi, Mukhedkar, Wadia, TS Rao, L S Prabhumirashi, Ranade - are some of the names I remember with respect.

Proud to be an alumnus of dept. of Chemistry, Pune University(1975-77 Physical Chemistry batch). Thoroughly enjoyed the days.Proud to be taught by eminent faculty- Prof. Arnikar, Phansalkar, Narasimhan, Mukhedkar, Wadia, Ranade, Prabhumirashi, SF Patil to mentioned few. Till date I cannot forget the lucid,vivid & (sometimes) graphic lectures of Prof. Hari Jeevan Arnikar. Also, the lectures of Dr. Thazhepallikudam S Rao who could teach us complex subjects in most simple & interesting ways whether it is Nuclear Chemistry or Solid State Chemistry. One of the best Chemistry depts. in India which can compete with any foreign university
