The Mayur Sports Complex was formally inaugurated on 23 November 2012 by ex-chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal N AK Browne at Air Force Station, Chiloda, Gandhinagar. It is a multi-facility sports complex equipped with a badminton court, a squash court, a swimming pool and a nine-hole golf course.
The highlight of the complex is without doubt the golf course which is one of the most challenging courses out there. The course was planned and developed by a dedicated team of Air warriors comprising: Wing-commander Haider Ali, Sgt Hari Om Yadav, Sgt J Singh, NC(E) Ramchandra and team. The work of the team was well-appreciated and rewarded.
The golf-course itself is a beauty! It has been well-planned given the terrain it has been built upon.
