Dating back to 1542 when medieval diseases and poor living conditions had filled St. Johannes’ churchyard. Today you still find richly ornamented graves from the 18th and 19th centuries. Off to the left directly after the entrance is the grave of the “Herold” family. American soldiers (stationed here until 2006) incorrectly referred to it “Dracula’s grave”.
