  Its over 100 year old village inhabited by Ranglong(longvon) community, agriculture is main source of income. People also rely heavily on Jhum cultivation and fishery and to some extend on betel nut plantation. This village is recognized as Manikbond Tangia a forest village by Assam govt and received very little or no grants from state government, unfortunately village is still without any electricity and people rely on alternative solar power. The village committee have given several request to the block officers but is yet to received respond on their request.
