Former car campground that first contained opened in 1934. Camp was since closed and recent restorative efforts are in progress to remove remnants of most of the original access roads. A ranger cabin still exists at shadow lake along with a pit toilet and several walk in campsites now called the 'Sunrise walk in camp'
