A circular raised flowerbed with two different plant species and in the middle is a single birch tree of some sort.
On the west side of the raised flowerbed is an old looking plaque inscribed on it;
“This park and the art gallery and museum were presented to the town by Edward F. Melly, Esq., J.P.
Mayor 1908-10, and 1926-27. Alderman 1918, Honorary Freeman 1930.
The park was opened in 1907, and the gallery in 1917.”
