estate (manor / mansion land), tourist attraction
The estate, founded in the middle of the 18th century, has belonged to both the von Staudens and von Ditmars. The grand Neo-Renaissance main building, completed in 1878, was restored in a slightly altered shape, i.e. without the end tower, after the looting and fires of 1905. In the 20th century, the building housed a school for a long time, and is currently in private possession. The Old-Baroque wooden main building erected in about 1750 — a long archaic structure with the Old Baltic layout — has also been preserved. By the historical distribution the manor was in Vändra Parish in Pärnumaa County. By the present administrative distribution it belongs to the Kehtna Municipality in Raplamaa County.
