Half Moon Island (Bhatir)
This is an island which is a land of cultivation and a source of coconut toddy.
Many villagers from Arabo and Paliem used to cultivate here n it was their only source of income for more than 40 long years ...
But due a tragedy that happened here few years ago,which took the life of 5 local villagers has stopped peasants coming here for cultivation.
It was a small boat which had capsized killing the peasants .
Due to this tragic accident the locals has stopped cultivating this island for the time being, due to unwillingness of peasants to come for work here .
But that has not stopped the beauty of this island as it is visited by tourists from all over the world .
Its true indeed a half moon island.
