The first village on the northern face of the Ladakh Range after crossing over the Wari-la (Wari Pass at an altitude of about 17,000 ft. (ca. 5,200 mts)) from Sakti Village. The road from Tang-nyer village connects to the road coming from Shyok village along the Shyok river, and later joins the Leh-Deskit road across the Khardong-la.
