Holiday Inn Express (or HIE as known locally). HIE is close to Exeter Airport and the M5, so attracts as wide variety of clientèle. There is a small bar on the ground floor - well stocked but no real ales - and pizzas are occasionally sold from behind the bar, but there is no restaurant (as of March 2013).
Wi-fi is currently only available free in the ground floor reception area, but from late March 2013 the paid-for wi-fi in individual rooms will become free. This may be due to the soon-to-be arrival of another hotel (Premier Inn?) very close by.

The hotel is always presented in a clean and tidy condition, but rooms facing the motorway can be a little noisy in the morning rush hour.
