AWHO VED VIHAR won the award for the best maintained colony in Hyderabad / Secunderabad. Mostly populated with retired officers from the defense forces, these gentlemen run a "tight ship". A noteworthy achievement is by a Colonel. Amarjeet Singh. Aged over 70 years old. Took it upon himself to build a garden on the barren patch of land in front of his block. This amazing person toiled night and day, spent his own money, and built a beautiful garden with barely any help. Today, in the evening, the garden is filled with old people and kids in the evening. Little do they probably realize that this wonderful space was created by a 70+ year old man's grit and determination.
