A late 11th century Norman castle with a circular keep built on a hill on an earlier Saxon site. It was extended between 1210 and 1230. It was severely damaged in 1646 during the Civil War after a long siege. National Trust, open all year.
Corfe Castle is both the name of the town and the castle.
