Nagnechiya Maa (Nagnechi Ma, Nagnechia Ma) (Hindi: नागनेचिया माँ, नाग्नेची माँ) is the kuldevi of Rathore, a Suryavanshi Rajput clan of India. Nagnechiya Maa's history dates back to antiquity. Rao Doohad (grandson of Rao Sheoji) went to Kannauj (where the Rathore originated) and returned with Nagnechiya Maa's auspicious flame, founding her temple in Nagana, Barmer district. She is worshiped not only by Rajputs, but by nearly every Hindu; people of Rathore ancestry visit her temple.

In 1200 CE, Rao Doohad believed that Nagnechiya Maa was the mother goddess of the Rathore, and it was necessary to bring her auspicious flame from Kannauj (where his ancestors ruled) to establish a temple at Khed, Rajasthan to expand the empire. Rao Doohad went to Kannauj with a few loyal soldiers, and was told by Lumb Rishi that if Nagnechiya Maa's auspicious flame touched the ground, she would not move from that place. When Rao Doohad and his men were returning, an eagle (thought to be the incarnation of the god of the Rathore) followed them from Kannauj. At night they stopped to rest near Pachpadra, a village in the Barmer district of Rajasthan. For some reason, the flame touched the ground; Nagnechiya Maa refused to move, and a temple was built at Nagana.

Although Nagnechiya Maa's temple is well-attended all year it is most crowded during the Navratri season, with worshipers from around the world. Pilgrims from throughout India finish their months-long walk during Navratri, and newlyweds come to obtain Maa's blessing. Newborn babies are brought by their parents for the ceremony known as Kesh Mundan (Jadula/Jarula). The temple is located in a desert area; however, it offers a variety of services.
It was said that when the Rathore kings went into battle after receiving Nagnechiya Maa’s blessing, they remained unconquered. People visit her temple for answers to their prayers, great and small. Although the temple is located in a remote area, it attracts visitors from around the world.
The temple is well-connected by road from Jodhpur, which in turn may be reached by air, rail or road. In Jodhpur, transportation exists by bus or taxi to Barmer at Barwi Road. The village of Nagana (in Pachpadra tehsil) is one hour by road from Jodhpur.

IN 1200AD RAO DOOHAD JI REALIZED THAT MA NAGNECHIYA IS THE POWER AND GOD MOTHER OF RATHORES AND IF WE DON’T BRING A JYOT (AGNI KUND) FROM KANNAUJ (WHERE HIS ANCESTORS RULED) TO ESTABLISH A TEMPLE AT KHED (RAJASTHAN) THEN IT IS ALMOST DIFFICULT TO FLOURISH AND EXPAND THE EMPIRE. 1200AD राव DOOHAD जी में एहसास हुआ कि माँ NAGNECHIYA शक्ति और भगवान RATHORES की माँ और अगर हम एक JYOT (अग्नि कुंड नहीं ला कन्नौज से) क्या है (जहां उनके पूर्वजों शासन) को KHED (राजस्थान) में तो एक मंदिर स्थापित है लगभग पनपने मुश्किल का विस्तार और साम्राज्य. HENCE RAO DOOHAD WENT TO KANNAUJ WITH HIS FEW LOYAL ARMY MEN. इसलिए राव DOOHAD अपने कुछ वफादार सेना के पुरुषों के साथ कन्नौज गया. IT WAS TOLD TO HIM BY LUMB RISHI THAT THE AGNI KUND SHOULD NOT BE TOUCHED ON EARTH, IF TOUCHED THEN MA WOULD NOT MOVE FROM THAT PLACE. यह LUMB ऋषि ने उसे बताया कि अग्नि कुंड पृथ्वी पर नहीं छुआ, अगर हो तो मां छुआ उस जगह से हिलना नहीं चाहिए था.
SO RAO DOOHAD AND HIS LOYALS WHILE RETURNIG BACK WERE TAKING CARE OF THIS ASPECT AND AN EAGLE WAS FOLLOWING THEM FROM KANNAUJ ITSELF. तो राव DOOHAD और उनके LOYALS जबकि RETURNIG वापस इस पहलू का ध्यान ले जा रहे थे और एक ईगल उन्हें खुद को कन्नौज से पीछा कर रहा था. THIS IS CONSIDERED TO BE THE INCARNATION OF RATHORE KULDEVI. यह राठौर KULDEVI का अवतार माना जाता है. IN THE NIGHT THEY STOPED TO RELAX AT A PLACE NEAR PACHPADRA (A TOWN IN INDIAN STATE OF RAJASTHAN), BARMER DISTRICT. रात में वे PACHPADRA के निकट एक स्थान पर राजस्थान के भारतीय राज्य में (शहर), बाड़मेर जिले आराम STOPED. BUT DUE TO SOME REASON THE AGNI KUND GOT DOWN ON THE LAND AND MA NAGNECHIYA REFUSED TO MOVE AND HENCE A TEMPLE WAS CONSTRUCTED OVER THERE AND THAT PLACE IS CALLED NAGANA. लेकिन किसी कारण अग्नि कुंड भूमि और मां NAGNECHIYA पर बैठ गया के कारण और इसलिए कदम एक मंदिर से इनकार कर दिया वहाँ का निर्माण किया गया था और उस जगह NAGANA कहा जाता है.
