Site of Larwill Park, originally known as the Cambie Street Grounds functioned as a community sports field and a parade ground for the nearby Beatty Street Drill Hall until 1942 when it was taken over for military purposes. Later it was leased to BC Electric which used it as a depot for buses. Subsequently, the property was leased by Greyhound until 1994 when the depot was torn down and Greyhound relocated to the Via Rail Terminal.
