It is karvat village, SHINDE peoples living there called Karvatkar. where 99% peoples are educated. This village is very small approx 700 population is there, But it’s leading all villages who are nearby his (PANCHKROSHI) for its democracy & Education. Here, Primary School of “Karvat” develops Talent of student up to 7th standard, there student comes from nearby villages to learn. All “karvatkar” are Devotee of PAVNAI DEVI & her temple is in wild (for that has one history) but Ganesh and Hanuman temple is in village.
Now, Mr. Ramesh Shinde is Sarpanch of “Karvat” village, under his leadership village have got many award and prizes. MR. Dhau B. zore is a principal of Primary school. Late Shamrao shinde was leader of “karvat” who give major part in village development. Mrs. Ashatai D. Shinde have got award from Home Minister of Maharastra Mr. R. R. PATIL for BEST SOCIALWORKER.

Geography & interesting place of village:
This village includes in Mini mahabaleshwar because they have natural beauty around him. Village is lock like place in one big sheer because having surrounding small hills. Front side of village has one big stone hill (called sada) & in back side of village has two waterfalls of one small waterway (odha) going to meet KOYANA RIVER. KOYANA RIVER DAM can see easily from karvat village. Stunning beautiful sun set shows from “karvat” above KOYANA DAM. “Gheradategad” FORTRESS is near from karvat.

Short history of village:
In past “karvat” was not an independent village. Village was combined with one neighbor village “Ghanabi “ because of less population rule. In 1993-94 village was separates by leaders of “karvat” from “Ghanabi“and Mr. Dattaram B. Shinde becomes the first Sarpanch of independent village Karvat and starts to develop the village.
