Tungelsta resides in the southern parts of Haninge county(Kommun). Its an old community built by greenhouse farmers and had its peak around the 1940-70´s. Remnants of the old greenhouses can still be seen all over Tungelsta. Now just a handfull greenhouses are still active.
Now Tungelsta is an expansive community, very popular with familys.
