Meaning: monastery`s cave.
Situated in Matka area. It is also called "Mechkina Dupka" (Bear`s Hole). "Manastirska peshtera" is one of the oldest restaurants in Macedonia and it is placed in real (natural) cave, adapted to meet the needs of a restaurant. Inside the cave, there's a pool-fountain with natural spring water and fish (trout and crap), that are served in the restaurant.
Outside there are two terraces with wonderful view on the River Treska. The Monastiry St. Bogoroditsa which dates from 14. century is very close to the restaurant. National food, specialities, fish and other sea food is served here.
